Aim and Objectives

The aim of this project is to design and assemble a V6 engine model using Autodesk Fusion 360 to understand the working principles, component interaction, and mechanical motion of a real internal combustion engine.

Objectives:

• To study the configuration of a V6 engine layout
• To design individual engine components using CAD software
• To assemble the full engine system virtually
• To analyze the motion and interaction of engine parts
• To improve understanding of engine kinematics and mechanical systems

Introduction

A V6 engine is a six-cylinder piston engine with two banks of three cylinders arranged in a V shape. It is widely used in automobiles due to its balance of power output and compact design. This project focuses on recreating a V6 engine assembly in CAD to simulate real-world mechanical behavior and improve understanding of engine operation.
